Syok Makan2 Warung Perasan

The abundance of euthentic Malay Food in Kampung Baru is evident. Most of the time you can hardly differentiate between one restaurant and another. Warung Perasan however, stands out from the rest as it it situated in the middle of a three-way junction. By nature Warung Perasan looks like your average "warung" but what it offers is definitely not your average take on the food. People tend to flock here regardless of time of day.

The spread of dishes here are broad prism of choices (over 40 dishes on any given day however they do run out pretty quick due to the human traffic that comes through. They have all sorts from local specialities such as "lemak chilli api" crabs, "rebung masak lemak", "tempe", "ulam", "pucuk paku masak lemak", and many other vegetables and meats.

Another must eat here is their "Soto Ayam" which comprises of compressed rice, roasted groundnuts, deep-fried crunchy beehoon pieces, "begedil (spiced potato ball)", and shredded chicken which will be submerged in a healthy ladle of chicken stock with chopped spring onions sprinkles. The secret to their delicious "Soto Ayam" is their delightfully spicy "sambal kicap" that once it hits the bowl it turns the perfectly golden chicken stock into a deep brown brew of delicious-ness.
